About HNGC

While critics herald Cleveland as one of the best “foodie” cities in the nation, one out of three people still can’t afford the meals they need and more than 50 percent of our city’s kids live in poverty, according to the 2013 U.S. Census Report. That’s the second highest childhood poverty rate in the nation.

The mission of the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland (HNGC) is to reduce hunger in our community by providing food and linkages to other vital services for hungry people, especially children and families, by actively participating in a coordinated response to people in need.

Each month, the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland places nutritious meals directly into the hands of 60,000 people, more than 40 percent of which are children. The non-profit organization also purchases food from local food bank warehouses and operates with the help of our close to 1,400 dedicated volunteers.

A mere $1 donation provides 4 nutritious meals.  For more information about the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland and its mission, visit HungerNetwork.org.

20% of Proceeds Benefit HNGC

Because of our extensive work in food photography and our desire to help local non-profits, we extended our philanthropic efforts again this year with your help. Each KP Photo employee donated a piece of art for a raffle with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. In addition to the raffle donation, 20% of every piece sold was donated to the non-profit organization to provide more than 30,000 meals!
